Preparation
- In a large pitcher, combine the filtered water and coarsely ground coffee. Stir gently, then cover and let sit overnight in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
- After steeping, pour the coffee mixture through cheesecloth into a fine mesh sieve placed over another pitcher to separate the grounds from the liquid.
- In a mason jar, mix the boiling water and sugar, stirring until dissolved. Add the vanilla bean or extract, cover, and let cool. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, whipping cream, and vanilla syrup. For an extra frothy texture, blend the mixture briefly before serving.
Serving
- Fill a glass with ice, add a splash of vanilla syrup, pour in the cold brew coffee, and top it off with the sweet cream. Enjoy this delightful drink!
Notes
If you have leftover cold brew, it can be kept in an airtight container for about a week. The sweet cream is best used within a couple of days for optimal freshness. Add ice cubes to rehydrate your drink.
