  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 4 slices BBQ sesame bread Thick-cut bread is ideal for Texas Toast.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and garlic salt together until combined.
  2. Spread the mixture generously over the top of each slice of bread.
Cooking
  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. Place the slices of bread in the skillet butter side down and sear for about 2 minutes until they start turning golden brown.
  3. Remove from the skillet and serve immediately.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes until warmed through. For added flavor, mix in fresh herbs or spices to the butter mixture.
