Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Use fresh mayonnaise for best flavor.
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons dill pickle relish, divided Adjust according to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion, divided Can use less if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons capers Optional; reduce or omit based on preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes Fresh parsley can be used for additional flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon white sugar To balance flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of dill pickle relish, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped onion, capers, dried parsley flakes, and white sugar in a blender.
  2. Blend the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  3. Transfer the sauce to a bowl and stir in the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of relish and 1 tablespoon of chopped onion.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to enhance the flavors.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze in small portions. Stir before serving leftovers.
