  • 1/2 cup honey Use high-quality honey for best flavor results.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce You can experiment with different types of soy sauce.
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
For the chicken
  • 2 lbs chicken pieces (thighs or breasts)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch Mixed with water to form a slurry.
  • 1/4 cup water To mix with cornstarch.
  • green onions (for garnish)
  • 4 cups rice or vegetables (for serving) Rice can be white or brown.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. In another bowl, mix cornstarch with a small amount of water to form a slurry.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the chicken pieces. Sauté them until they are browned on all sides.
  2. Pour the honey mixture over the cooked chicken, stirring well to ensure all pieces are coated.
  3. Add the cornstarch slurry into the mix and continue cooking until the sauce thickens and gains a glossy finish.
Serving
  1. Serve the sticky honey chicken over prepared rice or alongside fresh vegetables, garnished with sliced green onions for an extra pop of flavor.

Notes

For the best flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours. You can also try adding sesame seeds or fresh herbs for an additional twist.
