Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs Use your preferred cut of chicken.
  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with low-fat sour cream.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Use a low-fat version if desired.
  • 1 can cream of celery soup Optional substitution for variation.
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed Divided into two portions.
  • 2 teaspoons seasoning (garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper) Adjust to taste.

Preparation
  1. In your slow cooker, place the chicken at the bottom.
  2. Top the chicken with half of the crushed Ritz crackers.
  3. Add the sour cream and both types of cream soups.
  4. Sprinkle your chosen seasonings over the mixture.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  2. Once cooked, sprinkle the remaining Ritz cracker mix on top before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to three months. Reheat until steaming for food safety.
