  • 450 g ground beef (lean) For the best results, choose lean ground beef.
  • 230 g brown mushrooms Can use different types of mushrooms for added depth.
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 240 ml beef broth
  • 30 g ketchup
  • 6 pieces brioche hamburger buns Soft brioche buns recommended.
  • 30 g butter For sautéing the vegetables.
  • 225 g provolone cheese Melted cheese enhances the flavor.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the onions and bell pepper, sautéing until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and ketchup, mixing well. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Remove from heat, then fold in the provolone cheese until melted.
  7. Serve the mixture on brioche buns.

Notes

Best served with crispy sweet potato fries or a fresh green salad. Can also add toppings like pickles or hot sauce.
