  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup orange juice Use fresh orange juice for a brighter flavor.

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch For thickening the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic to make the sauce.
  2. In another bowl, set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
Breading Chicken
  1. Dip each piece of chicken in flour, then eggs, and finally breadcrumbs until well coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. In a separate saucepan, bring the orange sauce to a simmer and add cornstarch to thicken.
  2. Once the chicken is cooked, add it to the saucepan and coat in the sauce.
  3. Serve immediately with rice or vegetables.

Notes

To keep your orange chicken fresh, store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze it before adding the sauce.
