Making Sauce
- In a separate saucepan, combine orange juice, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
Finishing Touch
- Toss the fried chicken in the simmering orange sauce until each piece is thoroughly coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Notes
For the crispiest chicken, make sure the oil is hot enough before adding. Feel free to substitute chicken thighs for more richness or use low-sodium soy sauce if desired. Can be served over rice or with stir-fried vegetables.
