Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz noodles (such as chow mein or ramen)
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based alternative.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 3 stalks green onions, chopped For garnish
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce For gluten-free, use tamari.
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add the garlic and onion, and sauté until softened.
  5. Stir in the bell peppers and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetable mixture, and stir well.
  8. Add the cooked noodles and toss to combine.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop over low heat, adding a little water or broth to keep the noodles moist. Can freeze leftovers for up to three months.
