Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 lb Flank steak Can substitute with sirloin or ribeye
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch For coating
  • 2 tbsp Oil For cooking
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Grated
For Garnish
  • 2 stalks Green onions Sliced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle cornstarch over the beef and toss to ensure even coverage.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Once hot, add the beef slices in a single layer. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  3. Reduce the heat, then pour the sauce over the cooked beef. Stir to combine and let simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serving
  1. Serve topped with sliced green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to three months. Reheat on low heat in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of water to revive the sauce.
