  • 1 lb carne asada (or flank steak) You can also use flank steak or other meats.
  • to taste taco seasoning Season to your preference.
  • 8 pieces corn tortillas Warm them up before serving.
  • 1 small onion, diced For topping.
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped For topping.
  • 1-2 lime wedges For serving.
  • to taste salt Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the carne asada in taco seasoning for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat.
Cooking
  1. Cook the carne asada for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until desired doneness is achieved.
  2. Allow the meat to rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas on a skillet or over an open flame until soft and pliable.
Assembly
  1. Assemble tacos by placing carne asada on tortillas and topping with diced onions, cilantro, and lime juice.
  2. Serve immediately for the best taste experience.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container. Keep carne asada and tortillas separate for best results.
