Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 1 jar dill pickle slices Choose your preferred brand.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust for spiciness preference.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your liking.
  • for frying Oil Use vegetable or canola oil.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Drain pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Dredge each pickle slice in the dry mixture until well coated, shaking off the excess.
  3. Fry the pickles in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Remove pickles and drain on a paper towel.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispness.
