  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch For coating the chicken
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds For garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until they are well coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until it’s golden brown, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  2. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  3. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Before serving, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

To achieve the perfect crispy chicken texture, do not overcrowd the skillet while cooking. You can also add different vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variation.
