  2. Add the heavy cream and warm it for 2-3 minutes, ensuring it doesn't come to a boil.
  3. Incorporate the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring with a wooden spoon or whisk until smooth.
  4. Keep the heat low and maintain a gentle simmer.
  5. Finish with a sprinkle of grated nutmeg and adjust salt to taste before serving.

Notes

Best served with fettuccine, grilled chicken, or as a dip for fresh vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
