Optional Toppings

  • jalapeƱos Optional for a spicy kick.
  • lettuce Optional for freshness.
  • tomatoes Optional for garnish.

Method

Cooking the Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the seasoned beef until browned. Make sure to drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the cooked rice and taco seasoning to the beef, mixing well to combine.
Assembling the Burrito
  1. Take one tortilla and layer a portion of the beef and rice mixture.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, allowing it to melt slightly from the heat of the beef.
  3. Roll up the tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides as you go to secure that delicious filling.
  4. Repeat with the remaining tortillas until you have a delightful stack.
Cooking the Burritos
  1. In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Place each burrito seam-side down in the hot oil.
  2. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Drizzle nacho cheese sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover burritos in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze them for later. Reheat in the oven or skillet to regain crispiness.
