- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in one egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the coconut flakes, chopped pecans, and a splash of milk.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
- While the cookies cool, melt the remaining chocolate chips and combine with butter, additional brown sugar, and milk to create a frosting.
- Once cooled, drizzle this frosting over the cookies.
