  • 12 oz Fettuccine pasta Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  • 4 tbsp Butter Use unsalted for better flavor control.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Sauté gently to avoid burning.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Can be substituted with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Reserve some for garnishing.
  • to taste Salt

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. In a separate saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Slowly pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese along with a pinch of salt, mixing until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Combining
  1. Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce until every strand is well-coated.
  2. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra Parmesan cheese to taste.

Notes

For a richer sauce, consider adding cream cheese. Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
