  • 1 lb Ground beef, lean Opt for lean ground beef to reduce grease.
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 tsp Ginger, fresh, minced
  • 4 sliced Green onions For garnish
  • 1/2 cup Beef broth, low-sodium
  • 1/4 cup Hoisin sauce Balances sweetness with savory flavors.
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce, low-sodium
  • 8 oz Linguine or fettuccine noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch Used for thickening the sauce.
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes Add more for extra spice.
  • 1/4 cup Water For mixing with cornstarch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the linguine or fettuccine noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and brown it thoroughly.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, sautéing for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3 minutes until everything is well combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the water and then stir this mixture into the beef mixture to thicken the sauce.
  6. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet and mix well to coat them with the delicious sauce.
  7. Garnish with the chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can be frozen for up to 3 months.
