Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased baking dish.
- In a separate small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and remaining ketchup. Spread this mixture over the top of the meatloaf for a sweet glaze.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container; it will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to three days or can be frozen for up to three months.
