  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons butter for brushing

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, garlic salt, and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and melted butter, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the loaf in a greased bread pan and let it rise again for another 30 minutes.
  8. Brush the top with melted butter before placing it in the oven.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the loaf is golden brown.
  10. Allow it to cool slightly before slicing, and enjoy it toasted with garlic butter!

This bread is versatile and can be served warm alone, with a dip, or alongside a hearty soup. To store, keep in an airtight container or refrigerate for 3-5 days. For longer storage, freeze in individual slices.
