Ingredients

Seasoning Mix
  • 2 teaspoons table salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried basil
  • 4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon celery salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon MSG (optional)
Chicken
  • 1 whole Chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings, or a whole chicken) Use any combination of chicken pieces based on preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Mix all the spices together in a bowl or shake them in a mason jar until well combined to create a flavorful seasoning mix.
  2. Liberally sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken pieces, ensuring they are well coated. For the best flavor, cover the seasoned chicken and refrigerate it for several hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  4. Line a baking pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup and place the seasoned chicken pieces on the pan.
Cooking
  1. Bake the chicken for approximately 45-55 minutes or until fully cooked. Check for doneness keeping an internal temperature of 175 to 180 degrees F.

Notes

For an extra crispy skin, consider broiling the chicken for the last few minutes of cooking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.
