Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until everything is nicely mixed.
- In a separate bowl, whip together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until it’s light and smooth.
Assembling and Baking
- Scoop out dough portions and flatten them slightly; add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the middle and wrap the dough around it, forming a ball.
- Arrange on a lined baking sheet, giving them space to spread.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Once done, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with a touch of sea salt while they’re still warm.
- Allow to cool slightly before indulging in these decadent treats.
