Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Bring to room temperature before using.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
For the Cream Cheese Filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until everything is nicely mixed.
  6. In a separate bowl, whip together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until it’s light and smooth.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Scoop out dough portions and flatten them slightly; add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the middle and wrap the dough around it, forming a ball.
  2. Arrange on a lined baking sheet, giving them space to spread.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  4. Once done, drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with a touch of sea salt while they’re still warm.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before indulging in these decadent treats.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Refrigerate for longer storage or freeze individually to prevent freezer burn. Let thaw or warm in the microwave when ready to eat.
