Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons Regular chili powder
  • 1 dash Cayenne pepper Adjust according to heat preference
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
For the Chicken
  • 1 pound Chicken breasts Can substitute with thighs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl or using an immersion blender, combine the chili powder, cayenne pepper, and olive oil to create a marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or dish, pour the marinade over the chicken, and ensure it is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Cooking
  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for approximately 7-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  3. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and allow it to rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Marinate overnight for maximum flavor. Experiment with spices like smoked paprika or cumin for a unique twist. Chicken can also be grilled for added smokiness.
