Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use rotisserie or any leftover cooked chicken.
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened for easier mixing.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped For garnish and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Wontons
  • 1 package wonton wrappers You can also use egg roll wrappers.
  • Oil for frying Enough to fill the frying pan.
Dipping Sauce
  • 1 bottle sweet and sour sauce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and garlic powder, mixing until well blended.
  2. Take one wonton wrapper and place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wonton with a little water and fold it closed, sealing the edges tightly.
Cooking
  1. In a frying pan over medium heat, heat your oil until shimmering.
  2. Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil and fry them until they turn a beautiful golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  3. Once fried, remove them and let them drain on paper towels.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with sweet and sour sauce for dipping, and enjoy!

Notes

To keep your Chicken Wonton Tacos fresh, store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. You can freeze uncooked wontons for up to a month.
