Ingredients
  

For the Beef Marinade
  • 1 lb beef, sliced thinly Flank steak or sirloin works best as they remain tender.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Stir-Fry
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh broccoli is preferred.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Allow it to marinate for 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Incorporate the marinated beef into the skillet, cooking until browned (approximately 3-4 minutes).
  4. Add the broccoli florets along with a splash of water, then cover and steam for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
  5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice.

Notes

Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions for added flavor and presentation. Can pair with spring rolls or dumplings for a complete meal. For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
