Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 stick unsalted butter ½ cup
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream or half-and-half for a lighter option
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese optional, for extra creaminess
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated is best
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • ¼ tsp parsley flakes optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat to prevent browning.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Slowly pour in the heavy whipping cream, whisk gently to blend with the butter and garlic, and season with the salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and parsley flakes.
  4. Stir in the cream cheese and allow it to melt over low heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until melted and the sauce thickens.
  6. Let the sauce simmer gently for 1-2 minutes until it reaches the desired thickness, then serve immediately.

Notes
