Absolutely Sinful Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cup Milk Warm (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted and softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the filling
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Packed
  • 2 tablespoons Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
For the glaze
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2-4 tablespoons Milk To achieve desired consistency
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and melt the butter.
  4. Add the frothy yeast mixture, beaten eggs, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
Shaping and Baking
  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it.
  2. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  3. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
  4. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with a few tablespoons of milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls just before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm from the oven. To store, place in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze tightly wrapped for up to 2 months.
